URGENTpine
UnRaveling hostpathoGEn iNteracTions in pine pitch canker disease

2016-2019

URGENTpine will be monitoring and identifying Fusarium isolates in Portuguese plantations, acting as a research platform to explore host-pathogen interactions and testing environmental-friendly strategies for biocontrol of forest plant pathogens. It will provide a high profile platform by adopting a cross-disciplinary approach (from physiology to Omics) to create knowledge and tools to explore the intricate defence system against pathogens for forest trees having Pinus-Fusarium interaction as a model.

UrgentPine 2.0
Developing a resilient forest based on the experimental platform Pinus-Fusarium circinatum: From knowledge to action

2022-2023

HALIUS
Halotolerant rhizobacteria for enhanced tolerance of Olea europaea to saline stress and infection

2021-2024

The general objective of project HALIUS is to demonstrate that rhizosphere engineering of an economically relevant crop (Olea europaea) with halotolerant PGPB, selected from an existing library of isolates, can effectively contribute to enhanced tolerance to abiotic (salinity) and biotic (X. fastidiosa infection) stress.

F4F
Forest for Future

2020-2023

F4F main goal to demonstrate innovative techniques that allow to increase the value of forests, particularly, pine trees. These actions will be based on pilot projects and concept proofs made in real context, accounting for the various realities of the Centro region. To ensure the success of such actions, several economic agents, ranging from forest producers to final consumers, will be articulated and mobilized.
